Partner Russell Johnson Will Speak to the Texas Bankers Association Real Estate and Oil & Gas Conference

AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 26, 2010) – McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore partner Russell Johnson will speak to the Texas Bankers’ Association Real Estate and Oil & Gas Conference in San Antonio on April 15 at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio.

Johnson will discuss the exempt uses of surface water and groundwater recognized in Chapters 11 and 36 of the Texas Water Code. He also explains how various groundwater conservation districts have applied Chapter 36 exemptions in their rules, and the distinction between diffused surface water and state surface water.
