Policymakers are debating the reasonable applications of regulations and other laws, federal and state, to UAS technology, taking into account the benefits of their use, privacy concerns and their potential economic impact. The session addressed common UAS-related issues including the permitted uses of a UAS, UAV or drone and beneficial uses of the technologies by law enforcement, other government agencies, and the general public for commercial and recreational purposes.
