AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 8, 2008) – McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P. partner Phillip Schmandt has been elected chair of the City of Austin’s Electric Utility Commission. Schmandt was re-appointed to the Commission by Mayor Will Wynn in August 2008 and has served on the Commission since March 2006. In August 2008 he was unanimously elected by his fellow commissioners as Chair of the Electric Utility Commission. Austin’s Electric Utility Commission is a council-appointed board that advises the city on Austin Energy operations.
