Job Summary: McGinnis Lochridge is seeking an exceptional Biller/eBiller to assume ownership of the billing/eBilling process. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for various tasks and projects related to firm client billing and eBilling. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and able to multi-task various priorities. A positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Client billing responsibilities
- Edit client invoice drafts and produce client invoices
- Client billing research and resolution
- eBilling submittals, reporting, follow-up
- Clear and frequent communication regarding eBilling status
- Special projects and other accounting tasks as required
- Process Unbilled AR write offs
Skills:
- Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, and recommend solutions
- Must have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Must have strong follow-up skills
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, Word and automated accounting/billing systems, experience with SurePoint a plus
- Must have general technology proficiency
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Must be able to show initiative and be adaptable to change
- Experienced with and able to confidently and effectively communicate with firm partners, other management and staff
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills a must.
Education & Experience:
- Accounting or Finance Degree
- 3 years of hands-on accounting/billing experience preferred
- Law firm experience preferred
