McGinnis Lochridge is pleased to announce that Ana P. Navarrete has joined the firm and will focus her practice on oil and gas litigation. She will be based in the firm’s Austin office.
While in law school, Navarrete gained invaluable experience as a law clerk for the Railroad Commission of Texas. She gave numerous presentations to the Commission on subjects including pending litigations, questions of preemption with respect to state and local regulations, and on the impact of federal legislation on gas utilities. She also researched and prepared recommendations defining how Texas gas utilities should treat federal tax savings, which were ultimately adopted by the Railroad Commission Chairman.
Additionally, Navarrete served as Articles Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review, and as a contributing writer for the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal and Texas Bank Lawyer.
Navarrete earned a B.A. from Texas Tech University and an M.B.A. from Texas Tech Rawls College of Business. She received her J.D. from Texas Tech Law School.
