For 90 years, McGinnis Lochridge has served to protect the interests of our clients in continuously changing landscapes including cutting-edge technology, oil and gas litigation, regulatory matters and more. The quality of our work is reflected in our clients’ long-lasting loyalty and in our top-tier external rankings.
McGinnis Lochridge welcomes Partner Alex Stevens, Associate Veronica Cruz and Paralegal Emily Wysock—all formerly with Haynes and Boone—to the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group. Stevens and Wysock join the newly opened Dallas office with board-certified labor and employment attorney, Felicity A. Fowler. Cruz joins the Houston office and will work alongside Fowler, who will split her time between Dallas and Houston.
The new additions further strengthen the McGinnis Lochridge Employment Law Practice Group and build on the firm’s extensive experience across Texas and throughout the country. This is the third major addition to the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group this year. In May, the firm added Fowler and Ashton G. Cumberbatch, Jr.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alex, Veronica, and Emily to McGinnis Lochridge,” Doug Dodds, managing partner of McGinnis Lochridge, said. “They are important additions to the firm and will enhance the depth and range of labor and employment law services for our clients.”
Stevens focuses his practice on all aspects of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on labor-union management relations, wage and hour litigation and other high-stakes employment issues with company-wide implications, such as workforce restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Stevens earned his bachelor’s degree at Trinity University and his J.D. at the University of Texas School of Law, with honors. Cruz earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees in accounting from Baylor University. She was an auditor at Deloitte before earning a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Cruz was senior articles editor for the Houston Law Review and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jeff Bohm, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Texas.
McGinnis Lochridge’s office in Dallas is its second office expansion this year. Last month, the firm established an office in Decatur, a Fort Worth suburb. McGinnis Lochridge has experienced significant growth during 2018, adding 18 new attorneys across multiple practice areas.
