Travis is an Administrative Law attorney, specializing in utilities, natural resources and environmental, and commercial cases. For 14 years, Travis served as an Administrative Law Judge at the State Office of Administrative Hearings, where he assisted with the management of both utility team Administrative Law Judges and non-team ALJs on utility matters. In addition, Travis conducted hearings and mediations in complex contested cases. Travis’ experience at the State Office of Administrative Hearings has made him an expert on state agency rules, regulations, statutes, and case law.

In addition to the specialties above, Travis practiced labor and employment law (defense) as well as commercial and construction litigation. He is also a certified mediator, focusing on complex business-oriented disputes. Travis’ diverse experience allows him to serve his clients in multiple areas.

  • Extensive experience with electric transmission CCNs, rate cases, fuel reconciliations, EECRFs, TCRFs, TCOS, and telecommunications cases.
  • Experience in water CCNs, CCN decertification disputes, water rate cases (including the first Aqua Texas regionalization rate case), LCRA emergency release case, air, and landfill cases.
  • Experience in auto dealership/manufacturer disputes; and Government Code ch. 2260 contract claim cases.
  • Mediating business-oriented disputes.
  • Employment defense and counseling of clients ranging from Fortune 100 to startups.
