Julian Lockwood heads McGinnis Lochridge’s Real Estate Practice Group and has practiced exclusively in real estate and general business for his entire career. He represents clients in all phases of real estate development, including the acquisition, financing, construction, permitting and sale of real estate projects. Because of the large number of city ordinances that apply to real estate development in Austin, Julian’s practice has included a substantial amount of work with the City of Austin and its various boards and commissions. Julian also represents both lenders and borrowers in lending transactions, as well as both condemnors and condemnees in eminent domain proceedings. In addition, he has significant experience in federally-regulated environmental issues and has assisted several of his development clients in obtaining permits from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service pursuant to the Endangered Species Act.
