Ethan is a litigation associate specializing in complex commercial, government and sovereign immunity, and appellate litigation.

His commercial litigation experience includes helping to achieve a favorable arbitration settlement in a complex real estate foreclosure dispute including numerous choice of law issues; assisting with intensive trial preparation for multi-state litigation involving tortious interference and misappropriation of trade secrets; preventing a plaintiff's lawsuit for deceptive trade practices in building materials from being limited by summary judgment, ultimately resulting in settlement; and achieving a good result for an oil-and-gas exploration company in a contract dispute with a tubular goods supplier.

His experience in appellate law includes work on several prominent appeals to the Supreme Court of Texas, such as a brief successfully defending a summary judgment based on sovereign immunity in an inverse condemnation claim, and an opinion upholding dismissal for lack of jurisdiction in a dispute involving a major public institution.

Ethan has also assisted pro bono plaintiffs, including a win in a landlord-tenant bench trial on failure to comply with bedbug treatment requirements, and a successful eviction of a tenant who violated the policies of an indigent-housing facility.
