Job Summary:
McGinnis Lochridge is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Wealth Preservation Practice Group and take a hands-on role in empowering our clients and safeguarding their legacies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and administration, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to counsel with patience and compassion. This position presents a unique opportunity for professional development and mentorship as part of a small, collegial, and highly experienced team, while also offering the broader benefits of being part of a full-service firm with exposure to diverse practice areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients to discuss their estate planning needs, questions, and concerns;
- Drafting, reviewing, and analyzing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney;
- Representing clients through the probate and estate administration process, including drafting documents and appearing in probate court;
- Advising clients on transfer tax implications and developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities; and
- Preparing explanatory memos for clients on estate planning concepts.

Our Austin office is conveniently located in Austin’s Market District, sitting at the western gateway to Downtown Austin.
